WELCOME TO EDFAS

EDFAS is a member society of The Arts Society and was founded in 1970. It became a charity in its own right in June 2008 and is an independent arts education registered charity in Scotland (no.SC039651) and is regulated by OSCAR. Our lecture and events programme support these aims and the money we receive from Gift Aid, donations, and any surplus on events, is available for charitable donations which are primarily aimed at young people, arts education and access and also support our links with specific projects at local institutions.

EDFAS brings people together through a shared curiosity for the arts. Our events provide welcoming places to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts. Our members contribute to and preserve our artistic heritage through volunteering and by assisting a variety of educational establishments throughout the city.
We hope that our work creates a better, healthier and more connected society. We want to enrich lives through the arts: even if we cannot leave our homes.
